COMPUTER CLUB MEETING
November 9, 2007


Fifteen members and guests attended.

Ardell Easterday, President opened the meeting. Dolores Dewey, Acting Secretary failed to bring a copy of the Minutes of the last meeting. Member Janee Aronoff read the Minutes from the Club’s Blog.(fhtv.blogspot.com). Treasurer Ann Iverson read the treasurer’s report. A new Gateway computer, including printer and 2 year warranty, was purchased for $730.99. A desk, including warranty, was purchased for $64.03. Twelve memberships paid, $5.00 each, for a total of $60.00. New Balance - $1318.57.

New wiring has been installed in the info.com room for our computer.

Old Business, member Janee Aronoff wished to revisit the discussion about the Friday night movies and the annual club dinner. Ann Iverson and Dolores Dewey agreed to put on a movie starting in December. Treasurer Iverson will set up a NetFlix account for the movies. President Easterday asked for other volunteers to sign up for “movie duty”. Decision about the dinner was again postponed.

Janee Aronoff put on a program about using a Flash Drive. She put the flash drive into a usb port and using click and drag she placed photos and data onto the storage device.
She also explained her new internet access device, from Verizon, it uses a usb port and cell towers. Some cameras can download their stored photos onto the flash drive to clear their cards and take more photos,

Please pass this on to the general membership from Bob and Claire Rogers. The Friday movie and the Computer Club dinner have never been for the sole purpose of making money! The purpose is to share what we have learned with others in the park, attract new members, and have fun! I hope you won't abandon those two activities just because some of us who have worked on these two things can't be there. These two activities are important to keep our club vital.

Thank you for considering our comment and presenting it to the membership.

If you do decide to drop the movies, please offer the opportunity to the Entertainers Club; they own 1/3 of the projector.
